Old World Eclectic

We like a good challenge. And to make each client more than happy. Because the couple wanted to live in the home during demolition and remodeling, CBD took it one floor at a time. We set up a kitchen on the second floor where the owners stayed while ground floor work was underway. Then we traded places. Special steps were taken throughout the project to minimize disruption to their daily lives. Wherever possible, we chose environmentally responsible options and those that support the local economy. Locally quarried stone is a feature of the exterior including the custom-designed arching entry, creating a regal impression. An area artisan crafted cubbies that provide climate-controlled wine storage and make an architectural statement. Rustic salvaged beams adorn the ceiling and milky hued plaster covers the walls. Strategic placement of windows throughout the home and radiant heat in selected rooms make for a warm, elegant and energy efficient environment.
